Rugs

  • Vacuum on a regular basis
  • Rotate on a regular basis to keep the life of the rug
  • Immediately clean up spills as they occur with a clean, white cloth. Blot spill, do not rub.
  • Always spot cleaner before using on the rug to make sure it won’t damage the color
  • Consider having it professionally cleaned every 1 to 2 years

Wood Furniture

  • Wipe down with a damp cloth, never use a soaking wet cloth or a lot of water
  • Use coasters for beverages
  • Polish wood 4 times a year to rejuvenate oils
  • Use a hot plate under all hot items to protect wood from heat
  • Keep furniture away from heating and cooling air sources to help keep furniture’s moisture
  • Immediately clean up spills as they occur, spot treating with wood polish after area has been cleaned

Upholstered Furniture

  • Keep upholstered furniture out of direct sunlight
  • Rotate cushions on a regular basis to allow even distribution of wear
  • Vacuum on a regular basis to remove debris from cushion and frame material
  • Immediately clean up spills as they occur with a clean, white cloth. Blot spill, do not rub.
  • Avoid using harsh chemicals when cleaning a spill as they may damage fabric or fabric color

Mattresses

  • Always use a mattress cover
  • Turn and rotate mattresses twice a year (for non-pillow top models)
  • Do not allow mattress to get wet. Protect it from liquids with a cover if needed.
  • If mattress becomes wet, blot excess moisture with a cloth until dry
  • Use mild soap/water mixture to clean stains or spots
  • Do not use harsh chemicals on mattress.

Durablend Fabric

  • Wipe down your DuraBlend every few week with a damp white cloth to clean off dust, oils, and other grime
  • Use a mild pH balanced soap and water mixture with a white, t-shirt like clothe. We recommend 1 part Neutrogena to 3 parts water.
  • Dip cloth into mixture and wring out excess water before using. The cloth should be damp not wet. Dry with a soft, white towel.
  • Do not use harsh chemical cleaners
  • Gently blot spills when they occur, do not rub
  • Apply leather conditioner every few weeks to keep the leather looking new and supple
  • Do not put furniture directly in sunlight

Electric Stove Coils

  • Clean only when stove is off, and burners are cool. Remove the coils from the stovetop by gently unplugging them.
  • Wash coils with mild dish soap and water mixture. Avoid getting electrical connections wet.
  • Use soft, clean cloth to gently away debris
  • Rinse with cool water to remove all soap and debris
  • Make sure coils are dry before reinstalling
  • If mess is extreme, make paste of equal parts baking soda and water, and let paste sit on area for at least 30 minute before rinsing away.

Smooth Glass Top

  • Clean only when stove is off, and burners are cool.
  • Clean the spill up as soon as you can, do not allow spill to sit and be reheated
  • Find cleaners specifically for ceramic/glass top ranges and use regularly after cooking meals
  • Use a paper towel to clean stove top, do not use a harsh brush and sponge
  • If need be, use a single-edge razor blade to scrape off burned on food, followed by regular cleaning
